Works great and it’s safe

Great app. Super easy to set up. Made getting paid by freelance clients a breeze.

Venmo is literal trash, there are 100 better money transferring apps out there. Don’t waste your time.

It’s easy, it’s reliable, it’s fast. Love it.

Venmo does not allow you to edit a payment sent BEFORE the recipient accepts it. Which makes it a major pain in the butt if you make a mistake for all involved.

This is the worse company I’ve ever dealt with.. oh just a heads up when they freeze your account you can’t talk to a live person you can only email so you have no idea why your account is frozen. It took almost a month to get my money.

No transaction record. Fraud department to get back to me in 3-4 days??!!! What baloney! I don’t know whether to shut down bank account, call police. DO NOT ADD BANK ACCOUNTS TO THIS APP!!

I needed money sent from someone in a pinch and then have it transferred to my bank account. Having used Venmo before I thought it would be my safest bet. Logged in to my app, checked my notifications because there were some there and then proceeded to request funds from the person sending them. It was not till AFTER I received the payment and tried to initiate an instant transfer that I was notified that the feature is being worked on and that my money would be unavailable for 1-3 days even if I needed it now. No notification mentioned this issue. Someone in the company definitely dropped the ball to allow this to happen. I probably won’t be using this app again. Cash App is similar, the user interface is easier to navigate and picture this, I was able to get my money immediately following this situation using this other app.

Before this week I had no problems with Venmo. But I accidentally sent money to the wrong person and Venmo can’t find the money, almost like it disappeared even though it was definitely taken out of my bank account. When I called they pretty much told me sorry nothing they could do. The lack of explanation and lack of knowing where my money went was comical but concerning as they have access to my bank account but can’t find money I sent through the app. I’ll be switching to PayPal for anymore online transactions I may have to deal with in the future. Couldn’t be worse than Venmo

Customer service is horrible. They only email you. App will take your transferred money then block you account!!!

It’s convenient but the default social posts of transactions is weird. I liked it for a bit until someone accidentally sent me money when trying to pay someone else with a similar name. Turns out if you pay someone accidentally Venmo won’t help you out. You have to hope the person refunds the money. I refunded the guy’s money. It’s fine for small payments but not large transactions.

I am from Puerto Rico, a US territory and we have the American Citizenship. Before I used Venmo to transfer money back and forth to my friends and family in the US. Yesterday I try to pass the money to the Bank account and I couldn’t, I contact the Venmo personal and they said: “It appears as though you are located outside of the U.S. Unfortunately, Venmo is inaccessible anywhere outside of the U.S. There are two main requirements for using Venmo: 1) You must be physically located in the United States 2) You must have a U.S. cell phone that can send/receive text messages (please note that this phone number can not be on file with another Venmo account.) If you ever want to transfer money from your Venmo balance to your bank account (most users do), you need to add a U.S. bank account. If you want to make payments over your Venmo balance, youll need to add a U.S. bank account, credit card, or debit card. Since you are not physically located in the U.S. at the moment, you will not be able to sign in to your account. However, once you are in the U.S., we will be happy to get you squared away!” I’ll have to use another method ?

Please hurry on fixing the instant transfer option some people don’t have the time waiting for a day to three to make transactions

My daughter lives 5-1/2 hours away from me going to school for her master degree. We easily send money to each other anytime either one of us is in a bind! Rapid results!

Convienient & Easy

Great app, but latest update makes app show a blank screen when it opens. Completely non functional.

Very easy

During the signup process it automatically friends all the people in your contacts (with Venmo acct) as a first step. Even before you even set up your bank info. That to me tells they are most likely have stolen all contacts info. Most of my contacts are co-workers, acquaintances, kids school and sports connections, kids friends parents, etc. Basically people I would not usually send money back and forth with. Creepy, creepy! I had to unfriend 50+ people manually. It did not work and had to change privacy settings on phone and Venmo app 3 times before it worked. That is a deal breaker. Now Im trying to delete my acct. I can already see a nightmare coming.
