The biggest fail is if you have a joint bank account you essentially cant use this app. Very disappointing.

You can’t have 2 accounts draw from the same bank account. I guess none of the engineers at Venmo are married...

The app works great. Easy to use and secure best I can tell. But why is the default that all payments are public?? I see payments all the time from or to friends that I’m sure they have no idea that they are sharing with the world. You can easily configure your payments to be private, but most people don’t. Defaults really matter and Venmo uses the wrong ones.

Usage: at first not easy to use because had to go around & around to make payment- but with usage it becomes easier. Basically not sufficiently intuitive! Also not interested in who pays who!

I’ve been using Venmo for a couple years now and it’s been consistently useful and convenient to use. It’s perfect for settling debts with other people or requesting payments for handmade/private items. The instant debit transfers that users can apply for a small fee of 25¢ was a nice, recent addition to the app, making it easier for users who need their money transferred to their debit accounts ASAP. The only negative aspect of the app I can recall would have to be the fact that a payment cannot be retracted once it’s sent. The only way to recover money sent to an incorrect user, for instance, would be for the incorrect user to send the money back on “good faith.” When I accidentally sent money to my sister’s old, inactive Venmo account (where she did not have access to that email), they only way to retrieve my sent money was to call Venmo support. To their credit, however, they helped me out very quickly and the money was back in my Venmo wallet by the end of that same day. Overall, Venmo is a great application that makes a wide variety of situations way more convenient.

The most recent update enabled fast cash out, but at the same time disabled having a default cash out option. Therefore, trying to cash out now an app has become a massive chore. Please correct this issue by adding the default bank account option for cash out.

Cashing out keeps asking me to select between the paid debit card instant transfer to bank and the free account bank transfer. Keep the default cash out! It is annoying to have 3 additional clicks when I cash out. Poor UX design.

Your cheap friends that say they don’t have cash when the bill comes, have no excuse anymore!
