Great Costumer Service

I wasn’t getting the $ my mother sent to me. I emailed customer service. Customer service used proper English, they were timely and polite as well as very informative as to what happened. The $ arrived shortly afterwards.

I really like this app. $.25 to transfer to my bank account is not a bad deal.

Avoid at all costs

My account was broken from day one. I could not be located by my friends to make payment. I mentioned this support and they only offered solutions that didn’t actually fix the root cause of the issue, which is a tech issue at their end. Then, when a friend tried to pay me using my email address, it didn’t go to me. I have talked to support and they only offer scripted responses. Each time I contact support, I get a different person. Not a marker of good customer service. Venmo has completely lost my trust and I am deleting my account.

Do not use

“Convenience” factor is a lie. Have had money trapped in there for months, my bank says it’s a problem on Venmo’s end with their verification process, and Venmo swears they can’t do anything about it. I just want my money so I can close out my account. Avoid if you can.

Worst experience!

I downloaded the app, entered my information, entered debit card numbers, sent money and THEN the money I send was placed I Hold until I emailed all my banking statements for the cards I added and ID information!! This process took over a week going back and forth in phone calls and emails. After the second day of this, I just sent the money through another app and cancelled my account just to go back and forth to get a refund! They should have asked for all this prior taking my money and wouldn’t refund it until ID myself!!! I asked others who have Venmo and they all said they didn’t have to send in all this information. Waste of my time and a total inconvenience !!!!!

My account was deactivated and they could not explain to me why. Staff is incompetent and rude. Cash app is better and immediate.
