Very convenient for sending and receiving money between friends, but app freezes a lot and is slow to use. I have to restart it often in the middle of trying to look up someone to send a payment, please fix this!!

I have been a Venmo member for the past year with no complaints until last week. On Thursday I reported an unauthorized payment of $180 which somehow originated from my account to a payee not in my contacts. I immediately changed my password and PIN as my account had been compromised. Venmo froze my account, then asked for a photo of my drivers license in an email. I did so and today, 3 days after the fraudulent payment, Venmo permanently cancelled my account for violation of terms. When I called customer service, they claimed that their policy did not allow them to handle disputes by phone. Unbelievable. Not only will I never see my $180 again, but I guess I somehow violated my contract without even doing anything! It’s just as well that my account is cancelled as I would have cancelled it myself. Venmo at your own risk! I regret that I did.

I’ve been using VENMO for over a year. My son introduced me (millennial/27). My renter pays his rent every month now using the app....no more waiting for the check! The only thing I worry about it security hacks ... I hope VENMO can avoid this unlike a lot of companies we hear about every day. So far no issues !

Easiest way to transfer funds between friends and roommates. Managing the bills for a collective living arrangement? Have all the flat mates signup for Venmo and they can transfer their part of the expense to you in a flash.

It shows who you paid and why is that necessary.

I tried to send money today, but the app said I had to delete and re-add my bank. Of course, now I am encouraged to use the Fee option, because either the app or bank never sends the verification text! I am left without a bank account in Venmo. I even tried to add my bank from a laptop. The mini-deposit/ withdrawals never occurred. There is no help within the app. I am afraid the app is no longer usable for me, and I will delete it should I not be able to connect it to my bank.

Easy, fast, reliable.

It shouldn’t take two days for money to be available to whoever you’re sending money to. This is not an effective way to send someone funds if they find themselves in a pinch.

Venmo is quick and reliable and I like the privacy part of the app as I don’t really want everyone knowing my business

I had been using Venmo for years now and used Venmo to pay rent for about a year now. All of a sudden my payments were declined and when contacting Venmo told that it’s just something that’s happening for some users after their Dev plan to merge with PayPal and sorry not sorry essentially find a new way to pay. Terrible way to deal with issues. Offering no real solutions and just no care to lose customers.

Wow, where would I be without this wonderful application. Typically, I spend my sundays drinking Long Island ice teas and watching the Colbert report. Now, I’ve got a life destined for fame and the big screen. Hollywood is now my dojo. I’m not only an entertainer, but I inspire everyone around me. Thank you Venmo, for my life.

Had to learn this and it’s faster. Easier.

Very convenient except can’t stop my own payment to someone and need to ask the receiver to return the money is dumb idea.
