I would only use it with people I know well, but incredibly convenient.

I read some of the reviews on here. I think people lack sensibility when they sell an item to a complete stranger, and deliver the item before the payment has been completed. Anyway, this is a great app. I use it to send and receive money from friends, family, roommates, consumers, etc. I suggest you give it a try.

I almost never have cash or I always forget to pay someone back. This lets me pay my friends back for stuff right away so I dont forget!! LOVE IT

This app is definitely made to send money between friends. I wouldnt advise sending money to people you dont know. That being said, it makes group dinners so easy! My girlfriends and I do a group bday gift and this is a lifesaver. No more transferring between different banks or waiting to give someone cash when you see them. You can transfer the money within about 24hrs, so its not instantaneous but neither is PayPal. LOVE IT for evening up with friends.

Gave money to the wrong person and they froze her account to get it back to me when she wouldnt respond. Im stupid! Theyre not! Rejoice!

Have never had a problem with it, i dont really use it to send large amounts of money but its so easy to transfer money between friends and family members!! Awesome!!

As a long time user of Square Cash, I highly advocate it. No comments about scams bc theres no middle bank account- its direct. Venmo annoys me bc it doesnt allow receiving money thru cards and encourages FB usage. Why do I need social networking with my payments? I finally install it out of necessity to pay a vendor and it gives me an error from BOTH the website and the mobile app when I try to add a debit or credit card. This happened to me several weeks ago so I uninstalled it. Just reinstalled and same problem. Plus why install with all these reviews about money never appearing?!?

I bought a game of war account my friend wanted to use this app. I sent the money he got it transferred to his bank. A few days later transaction was reversed and they froze my account they think I was breaking there user agreement. I was perfectly in the rules I contacted there help center and didnt get any help just kept putting me off saying they needed further investigation. I had proof I was in there user agreement and they still wont help me worst app ever do not use!!!

Very simple way to pay for things like babysitting, or any kind of neighbor-to-neighbor transaction. Easy and quick, definitely recommend!
